They've had good players like Jason Richardson(the most under-rated player in the NBA, should've made the allstar last year), Baron Davis(former allstar, and a great point guard), and Troy Murphy(a decent big man that averages a double double and can shoot the three) combined with young players like Ike Diogu and Monta Ellis, but some how they can't seem to make the playoffs. It's been 12 seasons since their last playoff appearance ... i believe it's the longest playoff drought in NBA history ... WTF?! even the Clippers made the playoffs last season ... I hope the Warriors the best of luck for this upcoming season.

With how the West has been retooling this offseason, most likely they will not. The key to their success is a healthy Baron Davis. If he's healthy, then they have an outside shot. But all they have is good guard play on the offensive end. They really don't have any type of established inside presence to take pressure of J Rich and BD. Davis can get into the paint with the best of them but once he draws defenses in, he has no outside shooters to pass to.

The West has only gotten better, especially the teams that didn't make the playoffs with the Warriors. New Orleans got Peja and Tyson Chandler and they still have ROY Chris Paul who is only going to get better. Houston will start the season with a healthy T-Mac and Yao and added a defender in Battier who can also hit some outside shots. Sacramento will have Artest from the start. The Lakers added some perimeter shooting and still have Kobe Bryant. The Clippers bring back the same team that made the playoffs and added Tim Thomas. Phoenix will have Amare Stoudemire back. Dallas and San Antonio are intact from last year. With all that said, the Warriors will need to find another piece to add to their roster for them to contend for a playoff spot.

I wouldn't count on it. Coaching, and management is part of the problem, and the rest is the players fault. Baron Davis is just a very injury prone player, and it's doubtful that he'll have a injury free campaign this year. Troy Murphy is a good blue collar player that puts up decent numbers, but he's still overmatched by a number of players in the conference at his position. Richardson is arguably the most exciting player in the league to watch, but he isn't a great all around player, and he can't be forced to carry more then his share of the load. I'm looking forward to see how Monta Ellis plays, with more extended minutes. In the powerhouse western conference I have a difficult time seeing the Warrior winning more then 35 to 40 games. I expect there string of futility to continue, and the lottery beckons yet again.

The Golden State Warriors have the tools to make the playoffs, but they can't seem to make it. Like you said, they have Baron and Richardson which makes them set at the Guard position. I believe they can't make the playoffs because there are alot of good teams in the west. I mean, they could have a winning record, but the other team's record will just be better. Western teams like SPurs, Mavericks, Phoenix, Grizzlies, Denver, Clippers, Lakers, and Kings that all made it last year and only seemed to improve this year. With the Kings having Artest a full year, it would only make them better. New Orleans got Peja and they only barely missed the playoffs last year. With both Yao Ming and T-Mac healthy, the Rockets are a contender for the playoffs. Utah had a record of 41-41 and still managed to miss toe playoffs. The Western conference is so competitive, unlike the East where the Bucks got in with a 40-42.

well one thing that hurts them is baron davis always being injured if he can be healthy the whole season then maybe but other than that they don't stand a chance because they traded Derek Fisher who sort of saved them from a terrible record so the chances are no but they have hope, but don't forget the west has about 12 teams buying for the playoffs in this order Dallas, Pheonix, Spurs, Kings, Clippers, Nuggets,Lakers, Jazz, Memphis, New Orleans, Seattle, Golden State and Maybe Minnesota depending on who they get for KG so the west is deep any of those teams could get in or get killed. So nothing is ever for sure.

Not with how good the rest of the teams in the west are. I'd say they could come very close this year but will fall short. the only teams that they are definitely better than in the west right now are Seattle and Portland and possibly Minnesota. If they want to compete, they need a better center. Foyle can't play starting center to save his life. All of their young big men have great potential but are a far off from having good numbers. I'm especially looking forward to seeing what O'Bryant does this year. They could also use more depth in their bench.

They still have to make some moves, but I will say yes. J-Rich is a budding star. They lost a lot of close games last year because of poor free throw shooting so if they can improve in that area, I don't see why they can't make the playoffs.

the infantrymen are actual the main underrated team available. They beat Houston, Utah, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, and Phoenix during the common season in intimidating trend. With that stated, Dallas continues to be an relatively stable team. i will are watching for Dallas in 7.

No...Baron will most likely not be healthy again and their front court isn;t strong enough to compete in the West...look for them to barely miss, they'll probly be #10 in the West.

i think the warriors has good line up. they are competetive but as fas as i know, there is nothing wrong with the team.

they have good line up... good bench players... usually, what is going to happen is not changing players... they need a new good coach... they have awful coaching staff...

i'm gonna say NO if they dont get new coaches...
