Why do we see so many "liberals suck" "i hate the liberal" "liberals are dirtbags" questions, and yet there is no liberal backlash?
We have plenty of things to throw at the imbeciles that insult us, and yet we don't. Is this proof of our higher ability to be intelligent and civilized?

Maybe partly. Truth is, I don't see much point in trying to reason with people who spew invective broadly at a large segment of the populace. Some of the people on this forum vomit such garbage, I wonder at their sanity, that they should even give voice to the things they say. I get the sense they are terribly afraid, and full of hate. That's a very tough wall to break through. Even if I were willing to be uncivlized on their level, I doubt it would make much impact.
I take your point, though. The political divide in the US has deepened greatly in the last 6 years, nearly to the point of a cold war. We are seeing some of the same tactics employed by our counterintelligence agencies against foreign antagonists being utilized against opposing political groups, and average citizens, on US soil. The fight will have to get down-and-dirty eventually, or we risk having such unprincipled individuals running our country, and our lives, indefinitely.

Some people just like to hate others who disagree with them.
And if they aren't able to actually articulate a rational opposition on the merits of an issue, or even come up with an intelligent argument about the issue, all that leaves is petty childish name-calling.
Sadly, it's not limited to any one political camp.

I don't know ... I just told one of them I was ready to "rock" LOL. Guess hanging with you guys has not made me THAT civilized, yet. Actually, FYI, I learned my liberalism from the Days of Rage in Chicago in 1968 (I was 11). Defiantly not a pacifist. Doesn't mean I cater to Terrorist though.

That's because we dont have to bark to be heard. Our facts out-do the rest. They see what we are saying and don't like it and don't want to be caught up in the real truth so they say anything they can just to justify their means. Ah well- the truth is out there if you look for it.
