I honestly prefer the Sex Pistols in style but the Clash overall.

Love both, but have to go with the Clash. The Pistols were too much the novelty act, Clash was more of a real band, and their output was superior.

The Clash is legit, The Sex Pistols are the backstreet boys of punk.

I'll take the Clash in terms of quality songs; London Calling, Capitol Radio, Clash City Rockers, Train in Vain, Casbah, Brand New Cadillac....etc. etc.
in terms of downright nastiness, I'd take the Sex Pistols. Johnny Rotten's sarcasm and Sid Vicious'es recklessness was chemistry of a nuclear power plant gone out of order on a summer day.

Overall, I'd say The Clash, because they were around longer. But the Pistols "one album" was better than any of the Clash's albums.

I love them both but i think have to say the Clash. They have more meaning behind their music.....But the Sex Pistols are sooo awesome, too....I DON'T KNOW!!!!
