How're you going to make a million--or, in some cases, how were you going to before a company came out with the real deal?

I shall reverse engineer nature and create artificial photosynthesis.

With artificial photosynthesis the capital expenses for materials are cheap. Just use sunlight, air and little water. And you can create carbohydrates and food products. First it would just be used for animal feed, but then I would make it taste like regular foods for the grocery markets.

I would also use my artificial photosynthesis to produce artificial wood products. However, my wood products would be superior to natural woods. It would incorporate some plastics in it which would render it safe from termites. All the home builders would want to use artificial photosynthesis generated woods. This would have the side benefit of saving the rain forests.

And I would get a really big contract for the government to use artificial photosynthesis plants to consume CO2. This would be used to reverse the effects of global warming and save the earth.

One of the side products of artificial photosynthesis would be splitting water with a photon to make hydrogen and oxygen. This would solve the world's problems with hydrogen, get us all on the hydrogen economy and mean we won't need fossil fuels anymore. This would collapse the finances of middle eastern old countries. Terrorists wouldn't have any funds any longer and the War on Terrorist would vanish.

Altogether I figure my invention should be worth several million dollars.
