There is a slim chance that the test could be wrong. what might be going on is what is called "implantation bleeding" this is where the baby settles itself into the lining of your uterus. It could also be the start of a miscarriage.
You should go and see your doctor and discuss with them. When I had my last miscarriage the bleeding was very little at first so they had me go for an ultrasound to see if there was still a heartbeat. But alas there wasnt. Only an empty sack.
I hope for you that everything is fine and that it is only implantation bleeding.
Go see your doctor, clinic or nurse. That is the only way to find out for sure what is going on.

Sometimes a pink to brownish bleeding is called implantation bleeding. It is when the embryo plants itself in the uterus. However there have been many women to take pregnancy tests and the test gave them a false result. It is best to wait a couple of weeks then go to the doctor and have a test done. If you do not have insurance just go to the emergency room and tell them you have had severe pain and you are bleeding and you do not believe it is your period. They will then probably do a pregnancy test, but request a vaginal ultrasound. That is the best way to know if you are pregnant if you can not afford to go to the doctor. If you don't have health insurance, now would be a perfect time to get it. Just be careful b/c you could be pregnant and it is just early.

It could be that you are miscarrying. Many times it's true you have conceived but there must be something wrong with the cells and they just are not splitting properly or "taking". Most women dont even know they've miscarried and you needn't follow up at the doctors or anything if it's just a few weeks late and what seems like your normal period is happening...most times you'd think it was just a missed or late period if you hadn't taken any kind of test. Happened to me several times and even at 4 months (just the sac developed and implanted but no baby) and I needed a D&C to clean it all out and that must have done the trick because right after that I had 3 in a row! lol

could be that you have the dates of your period wrong. but also - did you follow the instructions carefully on the pregnancy test box? alot of the time, if you pee on the stick and read it too late, it will show up as positive because leaving the stick to hang around for too long will make the pink line show up when it shouldnt. so try to remember if you read the test within the suggested time frame because if you waited too long, you definitely will see pink show up, but may not be pregnant. i would try another pregnancy test and make sure you follow the directions exactly - brownish bleeding (if you have missed your period) could also be implantation bleeding, meaning the fertilied egg is burrowing into your uterus, and this type of bleeding is normal for some women at the start of pregnancy. so go buy another test and try again - set an egg timer if you have to so you read it at the right time :)

It is rare to have a false positive. In fact, it is almost impossible. You are definitely pregnant, but you need to seek immediate medical care. There is a possibility you may be trying to miscarry. Some normal pregnancies have some slight spotting, but a professional needs to help you to determine this.

Either way: tests can be wrong.
Also, some women say they experience bleeding during pregnancy.

Yea, you're probably pregnant, but you still get a little drainage. Go to the hospital, and have them do a test. they don't tell parents.

there are few possibilities
1- it was a falls possitive test, and now its your period.
2- you were pregnant, and now its one type of abortion(inavitable or threatened).
but better to consult your gynecologist.
Good luck wish you health.
