I am trying to find a nice weekend trip in Colorado. I would like it to be romantic and not touristy, in other words fairly secludded would be a bonus. Also I would like not to break the bank but be able to have lots of options of things to do. Hot springs would be a plus. Does anyone have any good suggestions?

Yes, I know CO well.

Try Swiftcurrent Lodge, 2512 Hwy 66, Estes Park, CO 80517

Cabins are right on the river, and there is exceptional, romantic dining at the Italian restaurant on the premises.

Have a wonderful time!

Go to Pagosa Springs. There is a large resort there (Fairfield) that you can try to get into. This is near the San Juan Mountains. The hot springs in Pagosa have many pools at a variety of temperatures and they are all fed from natural springs. The area from Pagosa to Durango, Silverton and Ouray is my favorite part of the country and I've been all over. I love Ouray and it is very secluded. Silverton has the steam train and an old old hotel. You should be able to fly into Durango. The northern part of the state is not nearly so secluded. Have a wonderful trip.

Go to Buena Vista, Co. There are Hot Springs and they also rent cabins. Some of the cabins have their own private hot spring pool. Just be aware that clothing is optional after dark. Here' the link.

Last time I was there they were doing a lot of renovation. Hoepfully they are done. I haveto say it's my favorite hot spring in all of Colorado.

Also, Buena Vista is not far from Breckenridge (about an hour), Alma/Fairplay and Salida. All fantastic towns and lots of gorgeous hiking/ skiing depending on the time of year you go.

For hot springs: Glenwood for sure or Buena Vista...although outside of great scenic drives, BV does not offer a lot to do.

Estes Park area is somewhat expensive, but is a great tourist area with Rocky Mt National Park...some of the greatest scenary in the state as well.

The Woodland Park area (14 miles west into the mountains from Colorado Springs) offers a decent availibilty to lots of things to do, including Cripple Creek (limited stakes gambling, texas holdem if you enjoy that) and easy access to Colorado Springs.

Ouray, Colorado would be nice. It's a small town on the western slope that has a hot springs, 2 waterfalls right in town and plenty of outdoor activities to keep you busy all weekend.

Glenwood Springs has hot springs, and both nice hotels, historic ones, and bed and breakfasts.

Or Mt Princeton hot springs which is more secluded.
