You can faint from dehydration. I fainted earlier this summer. I drank coffee right before bed, woke up, stood up, and fainted. Drink lots of water!!!

Yes you can. My husband works in 100 degree heat in the summer time. He has fainted, vomited, got a headache so bad he can't see, etc. You can get dehydrated, have heat exhaustion, or have a heat stroke. All of which can be very serious. The doctor told my husband to drink a combination of water and gatorade to stay hydrated in the heat.

As opposed to the cold heat?

Yes, you can faint from the heat. If that happens, get inside and get to some place cool, quickly. Drink water and relax.

What to watch out for is heatstroke. It can be fatal. The biggest signs of heatstroke are weak, rapid pulse, abdominal pain/cramps and the failure to sweat. If you stop sweating, it means your body's cooling system has broken down and you need to get to a cool place immediately.

Yes!! If you get dehydrated or low on electrolytes you can faint... I passed out one time walking across a airport runway because I was low on salt and had been out in the heat for too long.

Absolutely. You can get dehydrated easily here in AZ and sometimes faint. More often, people will faint in hot, humid places like Houston where it is so humid, sweat does nothing to cool your body.

Oh yeah! I'll always remember this summer as one big heat wave. Keep yourself hydrated. After you've been sweating and then all the sudden stop and your body goes into cessation, then your in trouble and get to the hospital asap.
