I want to make my flowers last longer, I tried aspirin, but that didn't seem to help

MY WIFE & MUM PUT BLEACH IN THE WATER THAY CAN LAST UPTO TWO WEEKS.

they make an additive for that ,don't know what it's called but florists use it..you might try coting the stems at a 45 degree angle and trying the aspirin again ,gives them more surface to absorb water

I've heard that one or two pennies will help, but my source for that information also recommends the aspirin trick that didn't work for you.

You may want to check with the local florist or greenhouse for recommendations.

It's the bacteria in the water that clogs the uptake of the water. I use a couple drops of bleach in a pint of water, and it does the trick. Also trimming the stems slightly every day helps too.

The florists have a little bag of a powdery substance. Go to the grocery store where they sell flowers and ask for some. works great.

I seen on a television show a long time ago to put a cap of bleach (laundry bleach) to keep flowers.

You can get flower food at a florist or try a drop or two of ammonia

Always fill the vase with warm water (never cold) every three days. I saw this on one of those gardening shows just the other day.

A penny. Don't know why, but it works. Also, cut the stems at an angle. They get more water that way.

mix the water 50/50 with lime soda- they will last forever.
