I really don't know of any bad things, since it's open source. The only complaints I have are that cut and paste could be done a little better; and it should allow shortcuts like Internet Explorer. I really don't like bookmarks.

On the plus side of things, it allows Java and Javascript.

Microsoft tried to set the standard for both programming languages, but Sun Microsystems wouldn't put up with any of that, so Microsoft purposely crippled all future versions of it's browser - and as a result - Internet Explorer will no longer enable Java or JavaScript. Also, Dynamic HTML is disabled. That was supposed to be one of the next steps, in the evolution of the internet.

Microsoft and it's monoploy have done more to cripple the internet, than all of the spammers, virus writers, adware / malware writers, software pirates, and hackers combined.

Let me preface this by saying I thoroughly abhor Internet Explorer. I'd be beating a dead horse if I said anything about its complete lack of anything remotely resembling a security model. If that's not enough to make people abandon this rotten piece of foulware then its abysmal support of web standards should be. It is the bane of every legitimate web developer's existence.

That said, I've been using Firefox since long before it was even called Firefox. However, it has its own flaws too. The one that immediately comes to mind is occasional excessive memory usage. For most users it tends not to be a problem, but if you leave a browser window open for days at a time with some heavy surfing you'll find that it's using quite a bit of memory. However, this is easily remedied by closing the application- mildly annoying. Still, the advantages far outweigh any annoyances in Firefox. You may also want to check out Opera. It's been free for several months now and it is a top notch browser.

I use Firefox almost exclusively and have used it for over two years. The only problem that I've found is that it won't play videos that are soley based on Windows media (such as those on MSN.com). Other than that, it's wonderful. It gets rid of all those annoying pop-ups and spyware doesn't seem to be a problem for it either. Try it! It's free so you have nothing to loose! You will still have Internet Explorer on your computer so you can use that if you don't like Firefox. Here's the link.

Im not sure about FireFox, but I know Mozzilla Fox is a good Internet too. I think it is faster. But I think FireFox is really good. Better than Mozzilla. Maybe that's why I can't find any. Cause there is nothing bad. :D

**Sorry that I am not to helpful on this question. I don't really know anything about FireFox and when I try to google it... Well it doesn't give me bad things about it. HAHA**

compared to explorer, there are NO bad things about Firefox, except that some sites specifically require explorer, and won't work with anything else - but that's not Firefox's fault.

It doesn't support some technologies that belong to Microsoft, like ActiveX. Also if a wmv file is not correctly registered as a mime type, it Won't open it with the associated media player, nor will it remember the manual setting. Sounds like a boycot to me.

i LOVE firefox! The only "bad" thing I've found (and it really isn't bad) is that some sites are designed for use with IE ....therefore, they wont load properly with firefox....

Other than that, I don't use IE unless I'm using someone else's computer and they don't have firefox!
