Many people have kids and school starts in September. Plus, it can be cooler in September)

Why not June? Then you have to envy others, who are enjoying their vacation and you're done with yours! (I used to go on vacation in June)

There are some fantastic carnivals in August. Plus, if you love cricket, in Antigua, the last week of July has Carnival Live Shows--Huge outdoor concerts. The 1st week in August has huge street parades and 24 hour street parties. Right after that is the Stanford 2020 cricket tournament. So, in August, you get Cricket, carnival, great sports fishing deals--great powerboats , up to 50% discounts in the luxury duty-free shops and fantastic sailing.

Kids and back to school. I rarely travel in August. It is too hot, too crowded, too expensive and too much to do at home. Besides I'm retired. My favorite time is September. The weather is great and the kiddies are back in school.

Mostly the nice weather...but it sometimes has to do with children and when they go back to school..most families like to go for a few weeks just before the kids go back to school
