you were right to use peroxide. but have you open up the wound and squeeze as much of the pus (necrotic, dead tissue) out as you can before applying peroxide directly into the wound? if not, try it. if you already are doing this or you try it and don't see any improvement by the next day, the infection may be too serious for you to treat on your own. an infection that serious means that you have no choice but to seek medical attention. if you have such money problems, surely you can get some sort of free medical treatment. there has to be at least one charity hospital or clinic in your area- and when they see how severe your case is, they will not hesitate to treat you! if nothing else, go to the bank and request a loan or get a credit card or enlist the aid of a friend or family member!

what they will probably do is cut out the necrotic (dead) tissue and bandage it up, then send you home with an antibiotic because the infection has probably already spread throughout your body, wrecking havoc!
when you get home, continue putting peroxide in the wound, to ensure that the infection get totally out and that it does not reoccur while the wound heals.

in the future, please take better care of yourself.

No, no, no! Don't use peroxide. This will heal your wound from the outside while the inside is still infected. It will actually seal in your infection and make it worse.

I can't remember how to spell it, but Hibicleanse is what you need. This is what they recommend after you get your belly button pierced. It helps the wound to heal from the inside out. You can get it at CVS, Walgreens, Eckerd, etc. Use it several times a day to clean and heal your wound.

Do not use alcohol either. If it burns, don't use it.

Well, what you really need is to go to the emergency room. Medical bills don't count against your credit, and the hospital should let you pay your bill out $10 @ month. Go to the county hospital if you have to. Please be smart about this. Try the cheap way, but please don't neglect this because of money. There is always a way.

Where do you live? Most countries you can go to a public hospital, I would have thought, otherwise you really may have to borrow some money and get it seen to, it is important. If it was me, I would rather not eat much for a week, and spend the money for a doctor or even if someone knows a nurse or person who does first aid, this could affect the rest of your life.Hope all goes well .....

peroxide is a good thing to continue to wash it with. As long as it doesn't heal from the outside, before the inside heals, it will stay clean. stay off it, as much as you can. wear clean socks, and no bandage. Soak it in warm, clean water...there are no chicken bones still stuck in it I hope. Watch for a fever, and red streaks, if those happen with pus in the wound, go to emergency room, they will charge you for the visit, but most hospitals "eat" the bill if you can't pay/no insurance. Good Luck!

STOP putting peroxide...that will only prevent it from healing!!!!

you need to bandage it, and get some neosporin type medication on it. or rubbing alcohol!!
