Then why are we building a OIL PIPELINE from the Caspian sea to the Persian Gulf through Afghanistan?? Dimwits, back to FOX NEWS!@

Think about it...this country runs on oil. A disruption like Katrina created a huge disruption and even that wasn't a huge percentage of what we use. So what happens if some tin horn dictator is some middle eastern sand box decides to bring us to our knees by turning off the spigot. Massive unemployment since industry would grind to a halt, massive inflation, billions in stock value would disappear overnight....in a word, the US would be in absolute chaos. We are in Iraq and the middle east because they have oil and we are the largest economy in the world and it runs on oil. That is exactly where we should be. Having said that, I think we are fools if we do not develop enough alternative auto fuel so we can tell the middle east to take their oil and shove it.

The country doesn't have any oil asseyes! You said nations with oil. The pipeline wasn't even a reality when we moved into the country.

I don't know, does Afghanistan have any oil? No, I didn't think so..... Did we attack them to for Democracy? Yeah, it looks like it since we're trying to set up a goverment in the country. Do you need to grow a brain? Yeah, I'd recommend it.

We attacked Panama and Grenada and there is no oil there. One attack was done by an extreme conservative by the name of Ronald Reagan.

Well yes these oil rich countrys use their oil income to buy stuff to make war with, so yes after awhile someone has to take them out.
