I dont know if I would call it verbal abuse, more mental abuse. You arent a child and if he continues to treat you as such, then leave. You are husband and wife, not father and child.

He's treating you like a child and being controlling. Being that I don't know what he said to you, I can't say if it's verbal abuse or not. You both need to learn to respect each other and communicate your differences to each other in a grown-up, more constructive way.

That sounds like more than just verbal to me. You are a grown woman and he can't MAKE YOU do nothing that you don't want to do.You need to tell him that you don't like that and if he still tries to MAKE YOU do something then leave his @$$. He sounds like an insecure b!+c# of a man.(no offense), but he can't control you like a child unless YOU let him. Pick your dignity up off the ground and start telling him just how it's gone be!
Best of Luck!

Verbal?? This is far more than verbal abuse. This man is controlling you! I wouldn't explode, I would walk out and never look back. You DO NOT deserve to be treated this way. Please you don't! Don't take this crap from him. Leave and find someone who will treat you with respect.

My dad made me write sentences when I was a kid. I hated it. You need to leave before verbal and mental become physical. RUN as fast as you can

I'll give you a hint...that is the same reason I left my husband in 2004! Leave him, while you still have your sanity, identity, and physical safety. I have heard that verbal, mental abuse turns into physical abuse, and its true...he knew I was planning on leaving him so he injured me in my vagina during sex....I still hurt occasionally today (I couldn't sit for a week, hurt during my period for 6 months.)....leave him
SECRETLY!!!

You need a professional if you are taking that type of abuse. You don't have to think about this situation, just do something about it for your sake.
