Any lottery or other contest that claims you have to pay a fee to collect our "winnings" is a scam. Don't fall for it!

"The first letter came from Virgin Lottery Inc., requesting that Veal call a 416 area code number to "confirm everything we have on file." In addition, the letter explains that "prize winnings are released as soon as your Clearance Fee is deducted ... a calculated amount ... required by Federal and International law."""

I only have been given the comparable letter. by way of fact the envelope grow to be hand written, and there grow to be no return address, I guess it relatively is a rip-off. If this have been an genuine sweepstakes business enterprise, they might in all likelihood be waiting to a minimum of type the address on the envelope. additionally, the letter requests the recipient to maintain the award from public word. for my section, the only valid reason for secrecy in this occasion is fraud.
