why am i scared of tornados when i never seen one

Many people are scared of things they have never seen. A tornado is not an unusual thing to be afraid of. Even if you haven't seen one, you have probably seen movies or news clips of one. Your fear actually has a name. It is called lilapsophobia. The best way to cure a fear of something is to learn about it, to learn what to do if there is a tornado, what your community or school does to make people safe if there is a tornado. If your family or school doesn't have a tornado plan maybe you could help get one started if you live in an area where tornadoes are a possibility.
So learn a little more about tornadoes and what you can do to keep you and your family safe and that will give you a sense of having some control and being able to do something about it and you should then be less scared of them,

If you live in an area where tornadoes occur, keep a healthy respect, but don't live in fear. You can get a 24 hour weather alert radio which will alert you to any tornado warning.

I WAS SCARED OF HURRICANES until this year. i drove the company truck through one in watchulla Florida. i lived! I'm not scared any more. it wasn't my time to go . it didn't do the truck much good , the ford garage put it back together.....so don't be scared ,you cant cheat fate!

Cause it's normal, watch out for one. Evacuate as soon as possible before the tragedy happens.

Because they're big, scary things you have no control over and can really mess up your whole day.
