what's so wrong with considering alimony on a case-by-case basis? if the man is the stay-at-home parent while the woman is earning the family's income, that would obviously be different than if it was the other way around. also if there are kids, depending on the custody arrangements, that's a huge factor, too. it's stupid to say that alimony should be completely done away with because every case is different.

No beacause alimony is only awarded in cases where the man makes more than the woman. So therefore being that women still sometimes make less then their husbands or soon to be exhusband alimony is still a needed thing.

Alimony is now called "maintenance" and unless you have given her an extavagant lifestyle, it's temporary. Not all women are entitled to maintenance and sometimes the man receives the money. Personally, I agree with you.

I call troll. Feminists decide directly to proportion equality with adult men, no longer dominate them, administration them, or create asinine rules to come again at them. the ingredient to alimony is that as quickly as a pair marries, one companion would develop his/her incomes skill, whilst the different does no longer, in line with possibility simply by conserving domicile, raising babies, or in any different case making an investment contained in the marriage itself. Alimony is meant to guard the companion whose incomes skill has the two remained table sure or decreased a results of wedding ceremony. so as gender roles develop into greater fluid and greater adult men finally end up no longer springing up their incomes potentials because of the fact they're taking over caretaking roles, of direction they must be waiting to assume alimony. it somewhat is somewhat the type of ingredient that ought to be desperate on a case-by utilising-case foundation.

Get your immature acting off-line trying to talk about an issue you don't know anything about. There are a lot of different reasons for alimony, & sex isn't always the main one.

I think it should depend on a longer length of marriage and should only be temporary, long enough for the ex to get things settled and on his/her feet. It is equally given to men and women depending on who files for it and who was the primary breadwinner of the household.

No - A lot of women devote their lives to their family and then Hubby decides he wants someone else. These women are older and have never worked a day in their lives. They have every right to be taken care of.
