Because the United States government really only has little on their minds other than oil and money....also world domination.

everyone likes to blame Bush.. but youve got to understand where the Bush bashing is comming from. Most of the Bush Naysayers are comming from the democrat parties liberal members. why? Because they want political power. and if Bush actually were to pull off a miracle before november elections (ie the Iraqi insurgency stoped) Bush and the republican party would begin to look like right choice in the polls so of corse the longer the insurgency lasts and the more the democrats yell and scream about Bush the more likely we'll see a shift in power favoring the Democrats this november.
As for the reason we attacked, there are two schools of thought. One Believes the president that it is part of the war on terror and to liberate the Iraqi people. The other side thinks its about oil and money and power.
well each side is correct but not completely.. the truth of it as usual is somewhere in the middle. The U.S is currently building permanent millitary bases in Iraq. The reason is strategic. Like the cold war, the US is methodically placing its "chess pieces" where they need to be in order to maintain security in the region with Iran, Syria, Israel and others nearby. you would have to be very dumb to see where are troops are and then look at a world map and not understand what it is im saying is the truth. It also has to do with oil, the US wouldnt care one wit about this region of the earth if it didnt have oil plain and simple. But, unlike what the Bush Bashers say. We are not there to steal the oil, The US has never taken resources from another country for its own use without paying for it. Now we could argue that maybe what we have paid isnt enough but it was still paid for. Also it is definetly about power. You have to understand, along with the rest of the world, that we are a major power in the world. There are others both what the US calls friend and Foe that are working to gather their own power in the world. Like Hitler in the 1930's and 40's started streathening germany's army and military, So now to is Iran, China, Syria, and North Korea to an extent. The question that should be asked at this point is what Country would you like to become a world power after the US, it wont be any European country, pretty much your choices are China and well um China. But then too their seems to be a power block growing of some latin american countries (venesuala (sp?)) and cuba, and some Mideastren countries. So that is kind of alarming as well especially with the Mideasts track record of treating women, and minority relgious beliefs

Is your question even answerable? I think you're just looking for the answer that you've decided to be right. That is the premise of all wars. Try and have a different approach to understanding the US and you might get out of being ignorant.

Irak must be an imaginary planet that you think we invaded, sorry to tell you this but no, we are unable to conquer alien civilizations at this point, maybe in a couple years.

Because George W. wanted to prove what a big man he is. BTW you need to use a spell checker. The war is about oil.
But then, why does anyone fight a war? Because they want almighty power. That's why. After 9-11 he needed to prove that we were still powerful and not to mess with us. War is war. There's not really a true answer as to "why".

since the Muslims were ok with Saddam slaughtering Muslims, somebody had to stop him because it was pretty obvious the Muslim world didn't care. Oh well, so much for gratitude.
