What are some great dance/nightclubs to go to in Los Angeles/Beverly Hills etc.?

I have 2 friends visiting LA and i have no idea where the hotspots are. Any places where there MIGHT be a celebrity sighting? Preferably a low cover charge, or guest list?!

Clubs vary on cover depending on the night.. adn if ther eis a special event it might be closed. I would call ahead to see. ALso ther eis a magazine in LA called the LA weekly.. its free and can be found in most of those newspaper boxes... they have a lot of info on clubs and stuff going on for the week.
