I think so. It looks so incredibly gay. Yet, I know its a strong vehicle and quite safe. My parents are trying to convince me to buy one and I don't know what to do.
It just seems to me that gay people drive that. I am a 22 single female and don't want to get looks.

I'm not trying to be offensive. I'm looking to buy a new car and I just think the forrester is driven typically by gay people.

Why are you implying that being gay would be a bad thing? I think you are projecting your homophobia onto the car.
I would think your bigotry and discrimination would get you a lot more looks than what you drive.

Two simple answers for you.
First, Subaru doesn't market any of their cars towards a sexual orientation, so I wouldn't really worry about it from that standpoint.
Second, I have a Subaru Forester XT and the thing is fast fast fast. This model has a turbocharger so it has a lot of pep while still being practical and safe. Prior to buying mine this year, I had a sports car that I loved dearly. The downside was that I couldn't haul anything in it. So when it came time to replace it, I wanted something that was still fun, but that could be useful as well. Five months and 10,000 miles later and I couldn't be happier.
And in case it matters, I am straight and married. Not that it should.

I think its a little cool, but its more of a family vehicle. If you want me to think, oh she's married, then buy it. But if you are trying to get a man, buy an impreza, or legacy.
But I like in Oklahoma, and we have one Subaru dealership, and I have never seen a gay couple buy a Subaru, and I'm in there a lot. SO I think maybe its a demo-graphical thing in your area. Maybe they have really good service to gays at your local dealership.
Needless to say; Subaru's are the best cars built. Tougher than nails, and as fast as greased lighting. And Don't forget SAFE.
I was in my Subaru Impreza, and was hit a 50 MPH in the rear, while I was at a dead stop at a light. The lady not paying attention was in her purse, while driving her KIA, and it totaled her car, my bumper was bent,and had a lot of scratches, and it was fine. I drove away. And I ran into a car in the intersection at about 25 mph from her push, and it bent the bumper and that's all.
Yes shes an idiot. But those things HAPPEN, what do you want to be driving when you get smashed into?

How can a car 'look gay' ?
Subaru's are in fact driven by many gays because gay people statistically have more money and research things more than the average heterosexual.
And yes, Subaru knows that their drivers are typically intelligent, well informed, and yes gay.
So yeah if you want people to look at you like you're intelligent, by all means get a gay car.
Or get a pick up truck with a nascar sticker if you want them to know you're a retarded hetero.
Ask an offensive stereotype driven question - get the same kind of answer.

Honestly the forrester is more of a family car. I see many large familys driving them. But if the car is just for you, do you really need something that big? Why not go for a legacy sedan? They are really awesome. Same performance as the wagons, looks nice. Perfect car for a single woman. If you need more room then get the legacy wagon.

If you are worried,buy the Subaru Legacy or Impreza sedan.You can get them with a rear wing and they look pretty cool.They are leasing cheap right now or rates are good for a purchase. I see all kinds of people driving the forester into our dealership.From old ladies to travelin sales people,moms and a few younger girls.Most of the younger guys and girls are driving Impresa's.

Subaru does focus a larger portion of its advertising on the gays.
so more gays drive them.....not that there's anyhting wrong with that....
but if you're chunky and wear sensible shoes but are not gay, then maybe you should try a AWD matrix.

no longer possibly gay looking, purely appears like a mini Explorer. in any different case, spectacular motor vehicle. somewhat the L.L.Bean version. leather-based and all of the gadgets. Rides super and love the all wheelpersistent. Very good motor vehicle and unquestionably rather quickly. Has a similar engine as a WRX.

I suppose even gay people can make smart choices when buying cars. I bought a Subaru years ago and have found it to be extremely dependable.
