Be careful not to score the tiles, but this will work. I would do it by hand as not to hurt tiles. Afterwards, clean with a pbleach/water solution, allow to dry. then get to work!! Good Luck

I've regrouted 9 bathtubs and 2 kitchen sinks and used a cheap blade to scrape w/. The kind from a $1 store that you can easily break off so it has a new blade often. The reason I did them was that we paid someone to do one. They did a lousy job and ended up redoing it. Scrape the grout (the areas I did were mostly where the tub connects w/ the tile), then bleach it clean. Let it dry good. Then I used the grout that comes in containers that look like milk containers that is a powder. Mix it in a disposable container. Have a sponge and a bucket of water as well. You put the grout on, squashing it into the space (I wore disposable gloves) and I did not use any tools. Let it dry for about 1/2 an hour then wipe off excess w/ sponge. Then after it is dry, use damp paper towels to clean. Wipe a few tiles then get a new paper towel. It saves hours of re-wiping w/ a sponge if you use the paper towels instead of a sponge to clean the grout residue off with them instead.

forget the tool use a razor knife at an angle useing the tile as a guide . u dont have to remove all the grout only a thin layer and all lose or broken patches . when you regrout mix the grout to a loose pancacke texture aply it with a grout float and wash with a damp sponge the first wash is more like smeering it evenly as it starts to dry wash it 2 more times untill it looks clean when wet alow to dry on the tiles it will skin over then wipe with a dry towel like removeing wax from a car

Hi,
There are cleaners available to brighten disclorored grout. If you have gaps or wish to cover stains, there are several premixed or you mix products at your hardware store. The tools required are inexpensive, but you will need to apply "elbow grease"! Basically,
it is a "Rub on Rub Off" process either way.
Good luck, Ned
