I do have some what of a belief in god but i still have my doubts. I mean who really knows were we are going after death? Who really knows that their is a god out their? I mean my opinion on this subject is that i think church and all that other BS is just to comfort people from death. Keep them from being so affraid to die. I do not believe in it because if it was real then why would my life be so terribly hard like it is. They say "PREY,PREY,PREy" And i have but were is my answers? Its just not real....

Well if you ask for an answer and then invalidate one possible response then why ask the question in the first place? Why do you believe in God? Oh, by the way my rule is you can't say "The Bible" because that is not an answer. Who are you to determine what is and what is not a proper answer? What if I believe there is no god because my high school text book told me we evolved? Is that book valid to you? You can't ask the question "why" and then tell people you won't accept their answer.
Luckily for you (and me I guess) I arrived at the conclusion that there is a God based on observations, logic, and reason and not the Bible. Here, I'll take you through the steps.
1. We exist.
2. Existence must have begun somehow or come from something.
3. Order does not come from chaos. This invalidates the Big Bang theory and increasing levels of complexity necessary for macro-evolution to have taken place. (at least outside of a guiding intelligent influence)
4. Since logic dictates that a painting had a painter and a book had an author, creation must have had a creator. We cannot suspend what we know to be true just because we do not understand the process. The Universe is a much more ordered system than a painting or a book.
4.

Why do you assume that the Bible is not an answer?? What makes you assume that?? Secondly, modern science affirms biblical creation. One reason that I believe in God, is the Big Bang demonstrates that the universe had a beginning. www.reasons.org

I believe in a higher power because if you look at the world around us, and see all the hate, violence, and suffering surrounding us, its depressing to think that WE are the highest beings. That this is all we have to look forward to is too depressing for words. There must be something better, there has to be a reason for all this pain and suffering. It cant all just be for nothing.
