I believe you are correct. A woman's egg won't be too old, and a man's sperm count is still very high.
Also, from a woman's point of view, I think this gives a female time to do those things that she has wanted to do as an adult before making that lifetime commitment to having children ... her mind will be more "settled" and she won't feel like she's "missed" something by starting a family too early in life.
Then there's the energy factor: the younger and more healthy you are, the more energy you'll have (and need) for those spry tots. I knew that once I turned 30, I would NEVER give birth again (I had my last child by 25) ... and a good thing, too, for a lot has happened in the past 15 years and giving birth now would end up being detrimental to both baby and me.
Yes, there's always the finances thing ... but as a mother of three, trust me, you will NEVER have enough financially to feel totally satisfied, so you can't wait EXCLUSIVELY on finances only. Yes, do what you can to prepare, but you never know how much you'll really need until the child is in the world.
If you two feel ready, I say, "GO FOR IT!"
Congrats!

The perfect age is when you have a home, work, some saved cash and stability for the future.
That was at 26 for me. I didn't even have a bf. I dated a guy for 3 weeks until I was fertile and had sex with him once. I was very drunk and very virginal. I don't remember much but it got me what I wanted. The dad doesn't like talking about it much. We were friends for ages before I asked him out. But with only that sole purpose. To have a baby.
I had been living on my own since I was 19, had a great job and plans for the future on my own business. Now my girl is 8 and we are the world to each other.
If you have money saved up, a future and a stable life, any age is the perfect age. But for me it was my mid 20's So I suppose I agree with what you say.
The best of luck with your first baby, take loads of pictures on a weekly basis and make files for them so you can see and be amazed how fast time goes by. Use a digital camera, less bulky to save pictures and videos.
Another tip, use the ceramic quick dry putty to mold your babies feet and hands when it's first born, and make a mold every other month. They are awesome as keepsakes!!! You can get that in Michael's or any arts and crafts stores.
Take care.

The perfect age for me to have my first child was 18. The reason; because I was pregnant. I don't believe in abortion and there was no way I could give my child up know that her father and I could provide for her. My fiance and I have 2 now and we love it. We're both pretty young still (he's 23 and I'm 20) but we wouldn't change it for the world. It's the best feeling coming home from work to see my beautiful daughters. Some people have different opinions on this. Whenever you feel ready go for it.

Well, I'm 20. I've been married for one year and I'm 3 months pregnant with my first child. Let me just say that my husband and I had planned on waiting until we were about 25 to start having kids, but accidents happen! We are still very excited to be having this baby, the timing isn't perfect for us, but It was the right timing according to God/Nature or whatever you believe. I do think that things happen for a reason, so I guess this is the right timing! Congrats to you, I think you're at a great place to have a family!

There is no "perfect age". You have to take into consideration what is happening at that time. Like, maybe early twenties is a good age, but you don't have enough money, or you're still in school. Late twenties might be better, but what if your job had long hours that wouldn't accommodate the needs of your family? It isn't just like you turn twenty five and go "Oh, now that im in my mid twenties I'd better get cracking on the child front" It depends on if you're ready for all the time and needs and responsibilities that come along with having a baby.
In my opinion of course. Yours might be different.

I'd say 27/28 because u graduate at 17/18, 4 years for college makes you 21/22, take a year to make sure ur in love leaves you at 22/23, get married and just be the two of you for 5 years (most marriages fail in the 1st 5 years) which makes you 27/28. hince a perfect age to get married.

Sure, there is a perfect time to have babies, but it varies person to person. I agree with the mid twenties, I got pregnant at 22. So, now I'm 28 with a 5 and half year old and a 3 year old. I think that's perfect for me. I'm gonna always be a young mom.

Sounds like mid-twenties the perfect age for you but I think it varies considerabely from person to person. I've just turned 20 and I'm 38 weeks pregnant. I feel I'm too young because I haven't done as much travelling as I'd have liked, I'm not married and I don't own my own home. I think for me, the perfect age would've been when I was emotionally and financially ready. Probably mid- 20's.
