over the next day or so, I get reallllllllly itchy and can't stop scratching!! I currently use Venus razors and Skintimate shave gel.
Over the years, I've tried:
~Skintimate sensitive skin shave gel
~Skintimate sensitive skin shaving cream
~exfoliating before shaving
~lotion afterward (including anti-itch lotions and AHA lotions)
~*no* lotion afterward
~Professional waxing
~Nair hair removal cream (irritated the skin, and didn't even do the job)
Nothing seems to work! And since it's summer right now, the problem is driving me crazy... any suggestions?

Try this :Before you shave your legs soak them w/ a good lotion and wait a few minutes then use very warm water to shave with and immediately aferward use an oatmeal (AVENO)lotion. What is happening is that your skin is too dry before you shave and you are irritating your skin even as you're shaving, but if you moisurize your skin first then soften the hair itself and afterwars soothe it immediately then you should be ok. But avoid putting anything on your legs w/ alcohol in the first 24 hours!!!Good luck!

Don't use the shave gels or creams at all! They have stuff in them that can cause irritaion to very sensitive skin-
Dyes, Perfumes, hydrocarbons like isobutane. I have trouble too. I use either baby shampoo or Pantene Pro-v Hair Conditioner as a lubricant.

Keep it simple, make sure the razor is fresh and sharp (not dull), just use soap and water or shower gel, whatever you use to clean yourself in the shower. Always sheave in the bath or shower where there is plenty of water. And moisturize after. If your skin is sensitvie use a lotion for that.

Your skin probably got a alergic reaction (with the gels and creams), just like me.
Next time just shave with just a razor. Itll be better.

I have found your solution! I use Soypete's shaving oil that's all natural and is really inexpensive. It is amazing in every way! You spray it on and shave and it doesn't give you razor bumps or break you out in pimples! After you get done showering or bathing, your legs and underarms will feel so smooth and soft! I love mine and I will never go back to using any other product! My fiancee also uses it too and says his face feels so moisturized! Feel free to email me your thoughts. Happy shaving!

My friend had this problem and she said the only thing that worked was shaving her legs dry, sounds even more painful to me but she said it worked for her, now she waxes using cold strips.

Maybe youre alergic to the fancy lubricants? Try liquid soap for shaving. Also, use lotion on your legs aferwards. Thats what I do..
