I've used Simple Green, full strength, even on washable silk dresses. Spray it full strength, let it sit a bit and then wash as usual. I agree -- bleach makes it worse!

If you have the time, spray them with Shout! and let set for 2 hours, then presoak in the washer in COLD water mixed with bleach. Before you throw in the dryer, ALWAYS check to make sure your stains are gone, once you've dried the stain, it's pretty much set.

If you don't have the time, then spray with "Grease Lightning" and wash in COLD water with bleach.

Try using this suggestion for all of your whites...

Once you have your laundry, soap and the tub full of water, add about 1/2 cup of automatic dishwasher soap. Let the machine agitate for a minute or two, stop the machine and then let it all soak for about 30 minutes. Restart the machine and let it run it's regular cycle again.

This always gets my whites their whitest.

Use vodka. Madonna uses it on her concert attire. Or I should say, her staff does..
