Hi!

It would have to be a matroness... a member of nobility in good standing, married (or widowed), and has grown children. And for what you want-- they would probably have to be high nobility-- a Duchess or a Marquise...

"matron" -- a mature woman: a woman, especially a married woman of middle age or later, who has had children and is thought of as being mature, sensible, and of good social standing.

The Queen was out of the country but she had been estranged from George IV for many years and would not have been invited anyway. Debutantes were presented to the king at the time of George V, so in 1820 they were probably presented to George IV. If he needed a chatelaine, he might have had one of his sisters.

I presume you mean the presentation of debutantes at court. In a normal year I don't think the Queen would attend every ball in London.
