Yard Sale/Garage sale and place ad in the local paper. Also check out E-bay.com.... and if your area has it, check out Recycle.com as well....free sign up and you'll find a lot of people looking for something you might have....or maybe they're looking for something you have and you're looking for something too and it's a trade off.... Something to look into. But depends on your area...not all of them offer the recycle.com

Estate sale. It sounds so much better than yard sale, and you can price the things a little higher.

Well, garage sell is the way - try having a party, in that way you can enjoy your time. The auction idea is nice too.. make it a theme party ;)
If you have stuffs that are recent, try out the local stores, sometime they take back stuffs at discounted rate.

Place an ad on Craigslist.com. It's free!!!! Add pictures of some of the items you want to sell also. That will help a great deal.
