En Pointe is a ballet term and it means dancing on your toes. You wear specially blocked ballet shoes to support your arch and your feet, as you are basically balanced on the end of your big toe.
You don't start en point, however. There will be a period of time when you learn the basic steps and strengthen your legs, your feet, and your back before your teacher will allow you to go en pointe.
Good luck!

Pointe is a type of ballet that is more common in big dancers than flats. Pointe shoes are shoes with a block at the tip of the toe and ballet dancers on pointe go up onto that. You cannot take pointe right away, you would have to take regular flat ballet for a few years before strong enough to go on pointe.

You should take at least two years of ballet before you start pointe. Pointe is what you think of when you think of a ballet dancer. They are special shoes that allow advance dancers to dance on their toes. This can be dangerous for people who haven't any background technique or strength.

I suggest taking ballet.

Good Luck

it's ballet. Pointe is when you wear the shoes that allow you to dance on the tip of your toes. You start doing ballet, and once you work up enough strength and learn the technique, then you are able to go on pointe. Ballerinas usually always dance on pointe
