I heard on Progressive Talk Radio this morning that the latest poll (8/12) has his approval rating at 38%,up from 35% last month. The general opinion was that it rose sightly because of the whole 'terror plot' thing, although the poll had a 35% margin for error.

Last I saw was 34%. His approval had hit an all time low at 29% then there was a 5% boost after the recent prevention of the British terrorist plot.

pretty typical for a sitting president under continuous assault from a press and the opposition party on an hourly basis.
If this were a democratic president doing the same thing there would no assault from the press.
Its low, 35% I think... but understandable.
