well my definition of success is not so much about money or a good career more like a good peace of mind. I believe success is another word of happiness and clear mind...

My definition of success is someone to love me, a peaceful nights sleep, loving the Lord, and having the love of my children and their security. Pretty much realistic and simplified. Grand designs are not in my plans.

from birth we are pre programed to gage what success is. No matter where you look at T.V. advertisements ,books you read in school, popular culture, and many more. The influence is everywhere. I do not believe money is a means to measure a human beings success. I would like to think that a person might be judged on their character ,integrity, and compassion to list a few. It is sad we live in a world that praise truth and right doing while doing wrong with overcomplicated simple solutions. As long as you do the right thing, help those in need when you can, spread joy in you life you are very successful person.

Success is a large area of discussion. It means so many different things to different people. I also don't think it has to do with money or a career or power and influence.

Success to me is your ability to do something that few can, or to at least attempt to. It's being able to wake up and try it again, no matter how many times it didn't work, no matter how many times people tell you "it'll never work". New ideas, new thoughts, new things are successes and this is how they come about.

That's a good definition. I tend to use the one like: Success is choosing to do something and doing it to the best of your ability, whatever it may be.

I'm with you on that one. If you can go about your day and know that you have done the right thing at the end of the day, then you have been successful in my book.

well i love Ralph Waldo Emerson's definitioon of success which goes --
To laugh much;
to win respect of intelligent persons and the affections ofchildren;
to earn the approbation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;
to appreciate beauty;
to find the best in others;
to give one's self; to leave the world a little better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition.;
to have played and laughed with enthusiasm, and sung with exultation;
to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived--this is to have succeeded

Success is about the person you are, and the person you are becoming.

It is about fulfilling your potential and achieving your dreams.

Your success is what will bring you a life of joy and pride in your accomplishments

here's mine: Food in the fridge, a roof over your head, most of the bills are paid, no late notice threats in the mail, kids are healthy, car is running, a paycheck every week, a really good show on the tube, the cable didn't go out in the storm, your not going through the bad stuff others are, and are damn thankful for what you got.....how's that?
