You have to create a need. Be excited about it. Act like it's the best thing since sliced bread.
Your attitude towards the product and your confidence in it can persuade half of the people. For the other half, you need alist of features and benefits. This is where you are screwed if you have a crappy product.

It would be nice if we knew what the product is. But with clever marketing, you can sell anything to somebody! They sold Pet Rocks, didn't they?

Give them one free with it. We Americans love to get something for free. I know that if I say something that I didn't necessarily need, I'd still get it if it came with an extra one. Who knows, someone else may need it.

Put it on ebay. Someone will buy it and probably overpay for it.

Anything can be sold. Target your customer. If you do not know, try ebay. I, personally, have not seen anything that can not be sold.
