computer error?

ok 2-3 years ago my computer started to partially turn off (the monitor looks like it shutdowned but part of my pc are still on, u can hear the fan spinning n some of the lights r on[our computer is a T1840emachines]) so now it got just a bit worst costs it does it much sooner than b4

check your wiring first, the one connects the monitor and the cpu. if its ok , then you have a problem with your monitor, better bring them to a technician.
