Do Not, I repeat Do Not go to one of those self-publishing sites or any vanity publisher. They will take your money and are a rip off! You are very young and need additional writing experience before you can ever HOPE to publish a book. This is a very difficult field and you usually need to know the right people, have connectioons, etc., and perhaps an agent to be published by a legitimate publisher. Stay away from anyplace that wants money to publish your book and get some more experience! You might want to to work on the school newspaper eventually (in high school) and get all the experience you can. And remember, read, read, read everything you can get your hands on! Reading will help your writing .

Why would an 11 year old publish a book? And anyway, an 11 year old needs more writing skills to publish one.
What about if the book is published and it sucks, and all that money wasted is for nothing? I write a lot, but I'm still not good enough for a book. My best story got an A+ from my sixth grade teacher, but I don't think it will by reviewers. Skill is needed, and it takes time, practice, and lots of reading to get it.

I would try children's/young adult magazines ... search for ones that are maybe about writing and that maybe have contests or reader submissions.

Cricket or Cicada might be good ones to check out.
