i used nair facial cream(not like i had a huge maoustache or ne thing i just had ....ok well u know ne wayz!) and it made my upperlip all red and i have open house to go to in 1 hour!!!!

If you have a clay mask put some of that on the red area. It will extract any residual chemical left on your skin. (the chemicals can soak in) Leave the clay mask on for 10, 15 min and take off with cold water. You may still have to use a bit of foundation or concealer to hide a bit of pinkness. If you didn't have a bunch of upper lip hair or if you have fair or sensitive skin you may have slightly burned it. Whatever you do...don't put creme or Vaseline on it. You can trap chemicals on top of your skin and further irritate it. Clay mask first, then...maybe...if you are feeling less burnt...a little moisturizer
Remember, the more you touch it the longer it will stay red.

When I use to work in a salon and waxed my clients, we always put creme on after wards to prevent redness and told them if the redness or puffiness didn't go away, to put some ice directly on the area. The best thing to do is probably not use the creme again, its obviously too irritating for you. I would probably wax the hair instead of using chemicals. Good luck!

cover-up, aand if its painful, try using a thick coat of vaseline for 10 mins it'll help the red and swelling (well it works for making my shaving bumps disappear some)

It usually does that for me. It's irritated. Just cover it with make-up. It should go away in a day.
