You take the first day of your LMP (last missed period), go back three months, and add 7 days.

example: my LMP was June 15th. So I go back 3 months, making it March 15th. Then I add 7 days to that date making my due date March 22nd of NEXT year. Get it? This is the method doctors use when you first go in. An ultrasound is very accurate in determining the due date as well, but it's always fun to know that you know your due date on your own:)

by the way, i really am due on march 22nd! i'm so excited:)

SURE !!!!! That's the way EVERYBODY did it, back in the "old days" before sonograms!!

By the way, most babies come when they're ready, and usually NOT on the due date.

But it's fun to plan it anyway.

Sometimes, we get that date so set in our minds, we have a hard time remembering the baby's ACTUAL birthdate. LOL.
My own mother always thought my birthday was the next day, because that's when I was due.

I still remember the due dates for all my children, and none of them were born on those dates. LOL.

It's the first day of your last period (not missed period) and yeah go back three months then add a week. My last one was June 5, so March 5 then add a week due date was 12th of March, only I didn't find out if that was right cause I had gestational diabetes and they induced me early.

Thats the method that most people use given they know the day of their LMP, which most people don't..I think they even teach you that in school in certain classes,,.I got a due date calculator dial from my doctor, spin to the first day of your last period and the second arrow shows you your estimated due date.. besides, all due dates are estimates. a normal term pregnancy is anywheres from 38 to 42 weeks gestation..this allows for inaccurate LMP"s.. Just thought you'ld like know..good luck with your pregnancy and best wishes for you and yours..

I never heard that way. I'm due January 7, but the first ultra sound said January 1...since I have to have a c-section I'm hoping to have it early...this year sometime.
BTW...CONGRATS!!!
