I started taking Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo birth control pills. I only took them 2 nights because it was making me sick. My mom made me stop taking them and called the doctor. I want to try taking these pills again but when do I take the next pill? Do I wait until my next period starts?

Talk to your doctor as to when the next time you take the pills.

They will probably make you sick again! But if the Dr told you that it was safe and you really want to, then give it a try. I just finished my first cycle of them and didn't have any bad effects. Some have given me tummy aches the first day or so, but nothing bad enough to go to a Dr.
It makes sense to me to start taking them the first day of your next period. Otherwise, I think you can start anytime, they just won't become effective for 7 days. And try taking them with dinner.

If they make you sick, you might want to switch pill brands. You don't want to start them again until after your next period -- you'll want to start a new pack of pills. You really need to talk to your doctor to see if switching brands will help before you start a new pack, though.

I'm with Kat. If they are making you sick, the doc will probably tell you to take them just before you go to bed at night.

i would try a different brand...maybe it was that brand that made you sick. I take Yasmin and it's great! Also ask your doctor.
