My laptop's fan has stopped working. So, my laptop keeps overheating and turning itself off. Can you replace the fan on the inside of the laptop? If so does anyone now the rough price and stuff...it would be a great help. I cant live without the damn thing!!

Hi. the answer is yes the fan can be replaced, but it could be the systen board, if your lucky it may just need reseating.
What make of laptop do you have?

If you are in the UK you can get a fan from Maplin and get someone to fit it for you but I would reccommend taking it to PC World and they will give you a quote and carry out the work for you with the benefit of having a warranty for the work. Hope it helps.

the fan itself is cheap but the repairs cost isnt if you know how to replace it then go for it but youll break the warenty on your laptop

I've built two complete Dell Notebooks from purchasing parts 1 at a time off ebay.
I build one every year, it's just one of my hobbies.

You should call up the manu, if it is still under warranty. They will fix it.
