I am in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and, coincidentally, saw an add just today for retail clerks at Sport Check - the starting wage is listed at $12.90 - $14.50/ hr.CDN depending on retail experience.
Now, we are in a job SHORTAGE situation here so that has driven up wages of late. (A starting wage at "Starbuck's" ((if you could handle working there)) is 13.40/hr.CDN part-time!).
