"Porter Rockwell, a Biography" by Richard Lloyd Dewey.
The book is a gripper, telling of legendary Orrin Porter Rockwell who had befriended and protected the Prophet Joseph Smith and later Brigham Young.
He had all the traits of an Indian tracker, the deadly aim of Wyatt Earp, and the survival skills of Jim Bridger. Throughout his journeys, he stayed true to the Prophets and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was himself a high priest.
The Prophet Joseph Smith had told him that so long as he kept his hair uncut he'd never die from a bullet. The man died in old age of natural causes--nothing short of a miracle considering the life he lived as a lawman, tracker, and gunslinger.
A worthy book to read.

I am reading a book by Sylvia Brown, called "Phenomenon".
It is interesting. It covers almost everything about "Phenomenon". It is interesting reading for those having carious mind or believing in psychic power.
As long as you are not an extremist fanatic in any of the religious category and as long as you can keep an open mind, it would be interesting reading. Note that you don't have to accept all info (as I don't).

Right now I'm in a comfort-reading zone (think comfort food, but with books) I'm reading Anne of Ingleside, by Lucy Maud Montgomery. Though I'm waiting to get In Her Shoes by Jennifer Weiner from the library.

I'm currenlty reading "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini
- I've got to say that so far, it is a great book. I started it yesterday and haven't really been able to put it down. I'm almost finished with it. It is a very powerful and moving book so far... it has held my emotions since the start and has twisted them and changed them throught the story so far.
