My brother can't get an answer on how much gas mileage he should be getting from his truck ? Any idea on what he can do to get more mpg? Both questions if possible.

stock he should be getting around 18. if he guts the exhaust leaving only the converter and opens it up to 5 inch exhaust all the way back and adds a k&n cold air charged intake system he should step up to around 22. The Banks aftermarket turbo will help some as well

Hubby has a 1999 diesel F-250 super duty 4 door 7.5 V8 and gets about 20 mpg.

the gas mileage on a deisel engine is infinite...
that said, the fuel economy is about 18 average.
