I have a Canon s6300 printer with a 'waste ink absorber' error message?

Can Irepair or replace the waste ink absorber myself? Is there anything I can reset?

I have Canon bjc 600, waste ink is a factory-only thing, the manual tells me that Canons need to go into their repair shop for it.
