Most transmission sealers work the same. They contain chemicals that swell the seals to make them tighter. That is somewhat a temporary fix. If they worked in any other way, they would plug up the small oil passages inside the transmission. Lucas is a good brand but you can also trust K&W and Bars products.

Lucas products work surprisingly well. They've been suggested to me by many different people. If your transmission is leaking though Lucas is just a (very)temporary band aid for a much larger problem. How long you have is anyones guess, but getting it checked sooner than later is the best thing you can do, beside driving only when you absolutely have to. My transmission just went out cause of a leak and I managed to get it to the mechanic, but the internal heat was so much on the driveshafts they had to be replaced also, so watch out.

Good Luck.

It depends on why it is leaking. A cut seal will not be cured, but a shrunken one can - that is the basis for this type of product. It has something in it that makes the seals 'swell'.

I had a transmission slipping so I put in some lucas transmission fix and it fixed it in less than a half mile and that was 25,000 miles ago and its still shifting good.

Lucas is not a fix...
It's only a waste of money to think it will cure the problem
