The legalities. Must you be a business etc. ?

Its something like, you need one of 180 spots available in space. I think the United Nations controls them, and unless you are a pirate nation like the Tongans...you have to provide evidence that you plan to actually shoot a satellite up there.

But comon....really only 2 countries have a good satellite program, and G.Bush isn't letting anyone out of the U.S buy them easily. If you wanna buy one....They go for about 200+ mill U.S. money

There are no legalities...it's space no one owns it...yet. If you launch a rocket from your backyard, by the time it registers in any claimed aerospace, it's gone and not coming back. Therefore there is nothing anyone can do. Unless you live in a country where they will kill you if they find out your doing such a thing.

you do have to get a suborbital license if you wish to venture out in space. you can get one from the FAA's Office of Commercial Space Transportation
