Get some string, let each woman tell you how long it should be to wrap perfectly around the pregnant ladies tummy. One who is closest wins.

Go to the dollar store, buy 8-10 baby items, place these all on a tray, give everyone 1 minute to look at the items, then take the tray away. Have them write down all the items they can remember.

If the mom has a name picked out have people write down as many words as they can from the name

Dice game, put wrapped gifts in the middle of the floor, Each woman rolls 2 dice, when she gets doubles she picks a gift, when all the gifts are gone, when you roll doubles you get to "steal" from another person. Put a time limit on of about 5 minutes

Give each guest a plain, newborn diaper and some non-toxic permanant markers. Let them draw designs or write messages on the diaper for the new baby.

Of the diaper games, my 2 favs are: 1) melt a different chocolate bar and place in a diaper and have guests "guess the poo" by sniffing each diaper (Great for photo ops!!) 2) is the baby food one, but each person (w/ a plastic spoon) has to taste the contents of the diaper and guess what it is (also good for photos).

For the "guess the size of mom-to-be's tummy" games, you can also use toilet paper and "count the squares." This one gets fun, and it's cheaper to use TP than it is ribbon or such.

Not really a game: But something fun to do for a baby shower treat is to make dirt pudding (pudding and oreos) and put it in a new/clean potty chair... It makes for great conversations and lots of laughs!!

I might suggest something that is a little more arts-n-crafts and not at all "gamey" First up, talk to the mother and see if she is willing to allow guests to design a small mural in the baby's room? Guests can play with paint when they are
invited into the baby’s room to contribute to a
painted mural produced during the party – be it
graffiti, stenciled designs, special messages from the
day or random doodles. Next, it's a shameless plug for one of my ideas: Custom Crawlers (or Onesies). Design a Diaper and Original Onesies: Cloth diapers (the ones used as the invite) and cotton onesies are given a makeover by guests with non-toxic fabric paint and computer generated iron-ons.

I think these aren't "hard", they actually occupy people AND they can complete them at their own rate of speed. Have fun!

At some showers that I even have been to they have had a new child bingo interest. You provide out a chew of paper or card with areas designed basically like a generic bingo interest however the areas are left sparkling so as that each and every individual can write down a diverse merchandise that they think of the mummy and toddler will recieve as presents.because of the fact the mummy unwraps the presents each and every physique marks off with stickers any matching presents that are on their bingo card. additionally there has been a interest the place each and every individual guesses how enormous around the mothers abdomen is by utilising utilising rest room paper.each and every individual unravels the quantity of loo paper they think of is the marvelous length.

Give everybody a safety pin to put on. The first to say Baby, looses their pin. The one with the most pins wins. Get a small bowl of rice put in small safety pins, the gold colored ones. Hold bowl up in front where they can't see in. Use on hand to try and get as many pins as possible. The one with the most pins win. Put together some small baby items in a container, pass it around so everyone can see what's in the container. Then give them paper and pencil to see who can write the most of what items were in the container. Good Luck!
Almost forgot to tell you. The gifts to be given away are to be something that the baby can use. Whoever wins a gift, gives it to the mother for the baby.

Baby animals.

Look up online under baby animal names and fin the answers to a few. See if the guests know them. Example: a baby turkey = poult. a baby fox = kit. a baby whale = calf.

Make sure you include like puppy, kitten, colt, so that everyone will get some right.

Make it no more than 10 in the interest of time.

Please, for the love of God, do not play shower games that are overly-cutesy &/or demeaning to the participants. Also do not show the negative side of motherhood (lack of sleep, baby always cries, changes to the body) even for a humorous effect. It's rude and a big downer.

Instead, do a fun trivia game about the mother, or maybe a version of another game using words that apply to the mother or babies in general (such as Outburst, Taboo, or Scattegories).

A word scramble using common baby related words like formula, breastmilk, diaper, changing table....... you get the point; baby bingo using those same words; who can dress the baby fastest using doll clothes and baby dolls;buy preemie diapers or make your own diapers with paper towel or something and whoever has the one with 'poo' in it (use mustard), gets a prize, my last shower was over 6 yrs ago so I cant think of anymore but I hope this helps

you can get some baby food in jars number them from 1 to what ever you have, pull off the labels and have your guest guess what they are just by looking. make sure you write down what jar is what so you will know.

also take some cotton balls and spread them out on the floor in a circle, have guest put cotton balls in bowl blind folded with a large cooking spoon, have them spoon up about 4 times. this is real fun.

Give everyone a safety pin. Have them pin it to themselves. Tell them not to cross their legs. When someone sees someone crossing their legs, call them on it. Then take their pin. Whoever collects the most pins by the end of the shower wins a prize.
