Sure, the last couple years he was there wasnt good, but everyone has a few rough years. He will have a rough CAREER now! What was this guy thinking?

Maybe he didn't leave willingly. What's wrong with going to race for the King? There he's the top dog, not running second to Tony (whom I love dearly). It's his CAREER to do with as he pleases.

I don't know a whole lot about that whole thing, but I do agree that he gave up the little bit of recognition he ever got when he decided to leave the Joe Gibbs team. He had been stuck through bad years, but like you said....each driver has that problem eventually. He, in my opinion, should have stayed with the Joe Gibbs team. I don't hear anything about him anymore since his change in teams! He had a little bit more fame when he was in his old group, probably because of the great drivers that are in Joe Gibbs. But now, Labonte is having an even bigger struggle than before. He doesn't win races, he isn't heard about, and his career IS falling apart!

However, as I've said, I don't know much about why Labonte left teams. He might have had trouble with his team, or simply wanted a new fresh start with another team just for the heck of it. Also, we all must remember that Labonte might not be over! If he happens to start winning a whole bunch, he will quickly become one of the most popular drivers...despite whatever team he's in or whatever racing backround he had. If Labonte can pull off great finishes, we will all see him rise right up in point standings, profits, and fame!

Some times you gotta do, what you gotta do. Labonte has to due what he thinks is in his best interest. Gibbs has so many good racers, and maybe he put to much focus on them and not enough on Labonte. Labonte has been given the short end of the stick for some time now, and he has realized that, and wants to move on.

Nope, Him and JGR werent going anywhere. JGR wants a new driver for the future JJ Yeley has many more years a head of him. Bobby Labonte chose a not so great ride but is good friends with Kyle Petty so I feel like he is not as pressured with the Petty ride.

No, I think he did what he thought was best for him, and that's what truly matters.
Was I sad to see him leave JGR?? YES!! However, I think he's fairing pretty well over at Petty, and like I said.. Bobby is the one who has to feel right where he's at.

I think he is happy on Pettys.
I bet he left JGR because he didn't wanted to be around Tony anymore!
No wonder who would

ya know, i love the guy, but he is aging and i think it is time for him to hang his suit up. i mean, you never know if he will or won't have a good season, but if that is what he wants, then more power to him.
