Ignore it, I had the same problem. They think they know everything and yet they wouldn't take any advice from you, would they? Let him talk, nod and smile and just think your own thoughts. If you're healthy and happy, let him dream.

Gymnastic coaches want you to be thin. The thinner the better, even beyond what is healthy.
Check with your doctor about a good weight for you based on your height and body type. If you are too thin and muscular, it might cause your periods to stop (if they've begun).
Most gymnasts are very thin with no breasts and no hips - because their hormonal levels are off due to their very low weight.
Good luck with the gymnastics, but, take care of your health.

I am in gymnastics i'm 13 and in level 8. This one coach always gave me tips like what I should eat and stuff. It drove me crazy but, she really helped me. I wasnt overweight or anything I am skinny its just that she wanted me to gain more muscle. She's not trying to be mean or anything just helpful. But, once I started to gain muscle she stopped bugging me! *wink*

I was in gymnastics. He wants you to be thinner and that is really dangerous. Tell your mom or counselor and lose the coach. It is abusive and could be the start of completely wrecking your body. I am still paying for it years after the fact.

I think that he may just be trying to help you with your sport. Maybe more nutrition can help you with gymnastics. But if you feel that its his way of calling you fat or making you uncomfortable, tell a parent.
