I suggest going to you local library and look up the newspapers of that time. Obituaries are always in the newspaper, and because you have the time frame narrowed down to the month and year, it will not take you long to find what you might be looking for. Ask your librarian if newspapers are kept on microfilm, or some other device and if you can scroll through them. All newspapers are kept, so you should have no problem. Good luck!
