Alrighty. It's like this, I have this guy friend and me and him knew each other since 8th grade but we haven't talked that much until now. But anways, would it be wierd if I invite him to my house to watch a few movies...alone? I mean I feel like I have to invite someone else everywhere I go with him so it wouldn't be that awkward. And no, he doesn't have a girlfriend(He recently broke up with her a week or two ago. But he said it was a smooth one.) Please help me.

sounds to me like you're trying to talk yourself out of something that you really want to do. I would invite him but why don't you invite a few other friends over for that "MOVIE" viewing. It wouldn't be so awkward and you all could have a great time. Doing the ALONE at home thing...1st date...definite "NO NO"...The guy would read more into the word ALONE and take that to mean....LOVE ON THE SOFA....
do the group thing...a few friends...social....inocent etc...

Go ahead and invite him. Make sure the movies are ones you will both be interested in. It won't be awkward if you have movies to watch.

Yes and no, If you like him, that's great. But you don't want things getting too out of hand. Bring a friend and their boyfriends. Make it a group thing.
