friends wedding. i had to pay 200 dollars for this heinous teal thing that i'll never wear again. i would wear a burlap sack if she asked me too, but anyway..my question: Does anyone have any creative ideas of what to do with it after? i'm thinking about donating it to charity, since someone might like it. Or possibly setting it on fire and dancing about its ashes. Let me know what you think.

Thanks for taking the time to answer guys. :)

I'd suggest donating to the "prom dresses for the poor" charity, but then some kid would have to wear it to the prom.

Maybe you can wait until the marriage falls apart and bring it out like it was an omen of things to come. That way you get to torture your friend back a little.

What is it with these wedding dictators? If she's forcing you to wear a dress you don't like, why can't she pay for it herself? Oh I know, it's your best friend and you don't want to rock the boat. Well, if you could donate it to a charity auction for a good cause, at least some good karma could come out of a silly situation.

I wrote that before I read the answer above about the prom dresses. Yeah, what she said.

I would donate it. Where I live every year they have this drive that they announce over the radio that any prom or bridesmaid dress that you have and dont want you donate it do a certain charity and they give them to kids that are unable to buy their own so they can go to the prom. maybe you can start something like that in your neighborhood.

Make an outfit for you dog out of it and show your friend.

Turn the dress into flowers and give it to the new bride as a bouquet.

Sell it on ebay as a prom dress (they are normally hideous)

Wash your car with it.

I have heard of an organization that helps girls go to the prom that can't afford to buy new dresses. You might check into something like that.
