Hugh Jackman as Wolverine... good casting?

Question

I see a lot of previous questions in which many of you are talking about how attractive and/or just plain perfect casting Hugh Jackman as Wolverine is. I even saw a question in which Arnold was postulated as a good Wolverine. Even though I agree that Hugh Jackman is very attractive, and a really good actor who's captured the essence of Wolverine, physically, he's miscast. Arnold would be even more miscast. Arnold would be playing Colossus, not Wolverine.

Are any of you aware that the original Wolverine was only 5'3"? Do you still think he's hot knowing he's short? (For the record, I do... I'm short!) Are any of you bothered, as I am, that Hugh Jackman is 6'3"? Although, as I stated, Hugh Jackman did a wonderful job as Wolverine, that little detail STILL bugs me!

Hugh Jackman is a wonderful actor. That being said...

I hate the fact that he was cast as Wolverine. He was completely miscast. We needed a short, hairy, well-muscled actor. Although Jackman is an accomplished actor, he does not posess the athletic skills needed to properly portray Wolverine.

But if you look at the Ultimate X-Men. Wolverine was made taller, faster, and stronger. Which makes Jackman the perfect physical protrayal.

Unfortuetly He's already been cast as the character in 3 Xmen Movies and I for one think he's doing a great job. But it does p!ss me off that they didn't get a short actor.

However... If a Wolverine solo film comes out... I would like to see a new actor star as the Canadian Ronin.

I did not know that the original Wolverine is 5'3". Nevertheless, I still like Hugh Jackman portraying Wolverine. I used to watch the animated X-men and I think Hugh Jackman made a good performance. I never noticed him till I watched the first X men movie. That's how i found out that he is not only a good actor but good looking as well.

Hugh Jackman...he made people stand up and take notice of Wolverine. He did an awesome job! Great actor!....and what a hottie! Most people do not know about the height of the orginal wolverine, so I don't think it makes that much of a difference.

And pleeeze...I hope they never cast Arnold in another superhero movie again. Mr. Freeze.......ugghhh!

My personal opinion they found the perfect Wolverine in Hugh Jackman,he embodies Wolverine to the core...The height to me does'nt matter,its what the face looks like,and his body is well formed enough,most actors are'nt built like Arnie!!!

I don't give a damn about how tall or short Hugh Jackman is. I still think he looks damn hot as Wolverine and I wouldn't want anyone else to play him.

Yes Hugh is a sexy wolverine but No, his size doesn't really matter, because all of the other actors are tall Famkee is 6'0 tall without shoes on. And it doesn;t matter becaue he never really shows his whole body.

Yeah, I knew Marvel had Logan listed as only 5'3 *makes sence since real wolverines are small little fierce creatures*, but it's no biggie. Hugh killed as Wolvie!! And remember, he wasn't the first choice to don the adamantium claws. Dougray Scott *Ever After and M.I. II* was supposed to play him, but he got injured while filming M.I. II and so bye bye Dougray and hello Hugh

BTW: You have heard that Wolvie is getting his own solo movie next year, ne?
