It's probably as simple as wondering sub-consciously what the in-between stages are between death and the Resurrection, from a Christian and Mormon point of view. Since the coffin is still closed, you may feel like you are missing enough information to either open the coffin or be ready to see what will happen when the Resurrection occurs. Since you asked this question in the theater and acting section, I am wondering if you would want to start researching more movies and/or plays about heaven and see what kinds of perspectives you get. I like the musical "Saturday's Warrior," for example, as death is addressed with a bigger perspective. It was produced by the husband of Marie Osmond and has been on the Mormon market for about 20 years in video and now DVD format. Another movie I like is "Mrs. Miniver" and yet another one is "Heaven Can Wait." "Carousel" is another interesting take on death and what happens afterward.
